Wound Care Solutions

For Surgical and Post-Surgery Applications

Create Effective Wound Care Products

Building components for wound care and surgical recovery often requires careful material selection, product validation, and a precision die cutting process to produce accurate, consistent parts.

Strouse has over 40 years of experience helping manufacturers validate and manufacture wound dressings and other die cut medical products.

Types of Wound Care Solutions

Some of the custom wound care solutions we manufacture are used to close wounds in surgical or post-surgery settings. Others prevent scarring or protect wounds from water and other contaminants. Examples include:

  • Negative pressure wound therapy
  • Hydrocolloid dressings
  • Absorbent dressings
  • Ostomy care
  • Antimicrobial dressings
  • Wound closure devices
  • Scar reduction devices

—and more!

Tapes, Films, and Other Wound Care Materials

Every wound care application is unique — some need to stick to the skin for several hours, while others last days or up to a week.

Each product requires specialty materials, often medical-grade. To choose the right wound care tape, converters source materials based on two factors:

1. The specific application use case

2. The desired adhesive strength

To attach a heavier wound dressing for long-term use, you might choose an acrylic skin adhesive. However, for a light, short-term application, a gentle silicone adhesive might be more suitable.

“The prior supplier of a critical die-cut part struggled with precision. Strouse provided improved dimensional accuracy and increased line speeds with better material handling, and introduced automation to this operation for the first time. It’s been over a year since we commercialized, and not a single issue!”
